Blood Donation Camp

The SNDT Women’s University organized a Blood Donation Camp on 13th Sept. 2024 at Juhu Campus. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation and to contribute to the local blood bank's supply. This report provides an overview of the camp's organization, execution, and outcomes.

Execution

The camp commenced at 9 am. The camp proceeded as follow

  • Registration: Donors registered and completed a pre-donation health check to ensure eligibility.
  • Blood Donation: Each donor was guided to the donation area where medical professionals facilitated the blood collection process.
  • Post-Donation Care: Donors were provided with refreshments and monitored for any immediate reactions.
Participation

The event saw an enthusiastic response from the community, with individuals registering to donate. Out of these, 73 successfully donated blood. The camp managed to collect 73 units of blood, which will significantly aid the local blood bank.

Feedback

Post-event feedback was collected from donors and volunteers, which was overwhelmingly positive. Many participants appreciated the efficient organization and the opportunity to contribute to a noble cause.

Conclusion

The Blood Donation Camp organized by SNDT Women’s University was a resounding success. It not only helped in collecting valuable blood units but also raised awareness about the critical need for regular blood donation. The event demonstrated the power of community involvement and highlighted the importance of social responsibility.
